CHEAP BOTOX
We don't do cheap botox. We do however try and offer a value for money service and we do offer expert assessment, an honest appraisal of what can be done for you and the safety of knowing who will treat you and that we will continue to be there for you for future treatments or for any problems or concerns you may have.
It is a fact of life that there will always be someone there who will do things cheaper; but they are often cheaper for a good reason. We only use branded products; we source our Botox in the UK and we store it correctly. We are engaged in continuing education in new techniques for non-surgical aesthetics and continually audit and evaluate our performance. We are fully insured and are members of the appropriate regulatory bodies. We take the business of your appearance very seriously.
So next time you see an offer for cheap botox, ask yourself "why is it so cheap?". Is the person giving it properly trained, or have they had any training at all? There are many adverts for 'Harley Street' trained practitioners out there. Harley Street is a just a street in London, having done a one day course there does not qualify you as an expert in anything. Check up how people have been trained and look at the genuine qualifications that the practitioner has. Make sure they are insured for what they are doing and make sure you have the means to contact them if there is a problem. Lastly, make sure you know what it is they are giving you and where is it from. Also don't be embarrassed to ask them how many people they have actually treated. They may give you a discount if you are their first customer! Of course you may actually prefer to see someone who has been practising for years rather than being a guinea pig.
We have been working as a team for more than five years now. Both Gaynor and I are fully trained and insured. We have a permanent base so you know where to get hold of us. We have the advantage of having a doctor as part of the team and not just as a telephone contact or to provide prescriptions as a way of getting hold of Botox for people who cannot legally prescribe or obtain it.
Lastly, whatever you do, don't be tempted by internet do-it-yourself fillers or botox. There is a good reason that it takes a minimum of nine years to train to practice independently as a doctor. Invasive procedures like botox or fillers are not just a matter of 'sticking a few needles in'. Botox is one of the most potent nerve toxins known to man. Injecting it in the wrong place can lead to disaster. Fillers also need to be correctly injected to get good effects. While they are not toxins like botox, incorrect injection technique can cause long-term problems. So just don't do it. The few pounds saved isn’t worth the risk of heartache.
The bottom line is that the difference between cheap botox and getting someone to do it properly is the reassurance of knowing the job will be done expertly and that you get proper aftercare.

Botox and fake imports
Increasingly it has become evident that in an attempt to 'cash in' on the increasing trend for non-surgical aesthetic treatments people are importing fake 'botox', usually from China or Eastern European states. This varies, from people importing it as a cheaper alternative to provide aesthetic services, to 'do-it-yourself' botox kits. Please do not be tempted by these, however cheap they may seem, as they are not good value for money and may be very dangerous. The 'botox' in these products is unlicensed and the amount of botox present may vary from none at all to many times the strength of the official product. Also they are not subject to the same standards of production and may be contaminated with other products or bacteria.
Official 'Botox' or more correctly Botulinum Toxin is supplied by four manufacturers:-
Allergan, Botox and Vistabel
Galderma, Azzalure
Ipsen, Dysport
Merz, Xeomin and Bocouture
All of these products are subjected to the same rigorous standards as any drug or pharmaceutical product supplied by a Doctor and are safe when administered by a trained professional. Please ensure that the product used in your cosmetic procedure is properly sourced and given by someone properly trained and registered.
Internet botox and fillers
The Internet is a fabulous place to get information. You can research and compare things and find information with just a few mouse clicks.
It is not however a place to buy do-it-yourself botox or filler kits. These are dangerous and should never be used. The only place to source products like these is from someone appropriately trained to use and administer them. On the internet you have no idea what you may be given, where it comes from or if it even contains what it says it does.
The risk of serious problems from using products like these is huge and is not worth it. Botox is a potent neurotoxin and is only available on prescription. Beauty therapists are not trained to administer it (unless they are also qualified as a doctor or nurse) and should not be giving it. They have their own areas of expertise, but injecting potent toxins into people faces is not one of them. Buying products like these online is very risky and trying to administer them to yourself or to a friend is just putting your health or even your life at risk.
